Strategy

Renovating our existing retail space at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street required demolishing the corner AP area adjacent to Sulwhasoo and integrating a new retrofit design. The scope included removing existing wall bays and flooring, reconfiguring electrical wiring, and rebuilding the space with updated fixtures, all within a tight four day installation window using union labor.

Design Approach

I led the coordination of both demolition and reconstruction, overseeing the removal of existing structures, wall bays, and flooring, as well as the installation of a new retrofit wall bay, updated flooring, and new floor fixtures. I managed communication with the installation vendor and ensured seamless coordination with the retailer, including scheduling pre-construction activities. Through careful planning and efficient management of union labor, I delivered the project on time while meeting all updated design requirements.
